Screening: Ryan Trecartin. Hosted by Gene George Earle.Trecartin, (born 1981, Texas, USA) is an artist and film maker based in LA. He is one of the most innovative young artists working with video today and was recently part of the Liverpool Biennial 2010. He makes fantastical video narratives collaborating with an ensemble cast of family and friends, where he merges sophisticated digital manipulations with footage from the Internet and pop culture, animations, and wildly stylized sets and performances.
