Curatorial Team | Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art 2012

We are looking for talented and committed individuals who want to gain experience in all aspects of exhibition making (concept development, project management, budgeting, publicity, marketing and installation). The brief is to develop and realise an exhibition/collaboration for Extra Special People and artists based in Glasgow at Hanson Street Studios Project Space as part of Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art 2012, (20 April – 7 May)

The selected ESP group will spend time between January – March developing and organising the project in conjunction with a similar team in Glasgow and overseen by Eastside Projects staff and ESP co-ordinators. They will then spend a week in Glasgow installing and launching the project for 20 April 2012. All travel and accommodation costs for this aspect of the project will be covered by ESP.

This is a fantastic opportunity to build skills and experience in taking a project from the initial stages through to final conclusion as part of a high profile event. It also provides a platform to develop valuable networks and contacts in Glasgow.

If you are building a career in the contemporary art world this opportunity will act as a springboard whether you are an artist, designer, curator or writer.
